The Customer's Problem

The customer runs a building materials and sand & gravel haulage business. He had steady cargo sources and plenty of work, but his fleet clearly couldn't keep up with the demand. At the most critical moments, he had to temporarily hire other people's trucks — the money went out anyway, scheduling was a mess, deadlines slipped, and even the client side was getting impatient.

He also thought about buying a brand-new truck. But once he heard the quotes for both imported brands and new domestic trucks, his heart sank — a truck loan would hang over him for years, and it would take too long to make the money back. As for buying used, he was worried about stepping on a mine: the used heavy-truck market is full of pitfalls. A truck can look shiny on the outside, but whether the engine and gearbox have hidden problems inside — you can't tell from photos alone. If he ended up with an accident truck or a flood-damaged truck, one repair could cost tens of thousands, the truck would be out of service, and his business would be stalled.

What the customer feared most was "spending little money to buy a big headache."

How We Solved It

Step 1: Shortlist online, so he had a baseline first.

The customer reviewed our vehicle videos and the inspection reports on the chassis and engine online, got a general picture of the ready-stock trucks in our warehouse, and shortlisted the target model — the SHACMAN 6×4 tractor truck. He felt the working condition and configuration matched his transport needs, and decided to come for an on-site inspection.

Step 2: On-site inspection — seeing is believing.

The customer flew directly to Liangshan and checked the trucks at our warehouse. Ready-stock trucks were parked in rows, arranged by color — white, yellow and dark-colored vehicles. The customer walked through the aisles and compared truck after truck, checking the engine, gearbox, chassis frame, tire wear and cab condition one by one. He even started the engine on site, listened to the idling sound, tested the feel of each gear, and pressed the brakes to feel the braking response. After a good half-day of inspection, the customer was completely reassured and finalized the deal on the spot.

Step 3: Reconditioning — done to export standard.

As soon as the order was confirmed, the truck went into the workshop: all fluids were replaced, including engine oil, filters and coolant; lighting, braking system and air lines were inspected and adjusted item by item; the cab was deep-cleaned, even the seats and interior were tidied up; the tool kit, spare tire and manual were all provided. At the same time, the chassis number and engine number were verified and recorded, full photos of the truck were kept, and all documents needed for customs declaration and commodity inspection were prepared in one go — so the customer never had to run around for paperwork.

Step 4: Loading and shipment — followed up all the way.

After passing the reconditioning re-inspection, the truck was transported to the port by trailer and loaded onto a bulk carrier. Once the sailing schedule was confirmed, we informed the customer immediately, and kept updating every logistics milestone afterward — the customer knew where the truck was the whole time, right from home.

Step 5: Customs clearance and delivery — after-sales support included.

After the truck arrived at the port, we handed over the complete set of customs clearance documents and arranged dedicated personnel to walk the customer through clearance requirements. After the customer took delivery, we also provided remote maintenance guidance and common troubleshooting support. Only when the truck was really running and making money was the order considered truly delivered.

What the Customer Got

  • Confidence in the condition: The truck went through item-by-item inspection and reconditioning, and the condition of every key component was clear — the customer bought with peace of mind;
  • Better cost: It cost far less than a new truck with the same configuration, and the payback period was significantly shorter — the customer had already done the math;
  • Hassle-free service: From inspection to delivery, the whole chain of inspection, reconditioning, shipment, clearance and after-sales was handled in one stop — the customer didn't have to worry about a single step;
  • Stable operation: The truck has been running smoothly since it went into service — strong power, controllable fuel consumption, and spare parts are easy to find in the market, so work is never held up;
  • A stronger relationship: The customer was very satisfied with our service and is already in talks to purchase the next batch of dump trucks to expand the fleet.

The Customer's Own Words

"I was still nervous before I came — afraid the truck might not be in good condition. It wasn't until I saw it with my own eyes and test-drove it at the warehouse that I felt at ease. The reconditioning was thorough, and I didn't have to worry about shipping at all. The truck could go straight to work once it arrived at the port. This batch has been reliable — the next batch of dump trucks, we'll come back to you."
